A Study on Problems and improvement Proposals for Application bounds of the Maritime Traffic Safety Regulations

Maritime transportation can be described as a person overcoming the maritime perils and moves on using so-called the "sea" transportation road, using a vessel. But the "sea" used as a maritime transportation road not only is used as a means of transportation, but also utilized in fishery, supply of mineral resources and expansion of living area etc; and including every activities stated above and harmonizing them with the freedom of navigating, UN Convention on the Law of the Sea was enacted in 1982. We will be looking at the wide diversity of maritime activities, which includes on the sea as well as in and bottom of the sea as a result of the effectuation of UN Convention on the Law of the Sea in view of the maritime transportation safety regulation, whether transportation order is regulated for the sake of a vessel's safe maritime activity, whether the danger of collision exists and will try to present its problems concerning application bounds and improvement scheme.
