This paper explores the semantic and syntactic characteristics of Russian universal quantifier pronouns: vse, vsjakij, ljuboj, kazdyj, and also examines which characteristics make them mean similarly and differently in the sentence. The differential semantic features, such as 'multiplicity of selected objects,' 'samekindness of objects,' 'subjective or objective selection of objects,' etc. are used to distinguish these pronouns from one another. Certain syntactic conditions are required so that these pronouns might be used interchangeably in the sentence. They can be used interchangeably only in a sentence with non-past tense, in conditionals, or in epistemic modal sentences which express the possibility of the happening of the event denoted by the verb. This means that if all the participants modified by the quantifier pronoun should be involved in the action, only kazdyj or vse can be used .
