언어적 창의성 향상을 위한 창작 심화 학습 프로그램 개발 연구

Developing a creative writing enrichment program to improve verbal creativity

최근 우수한 학습자나 영재들을 위한 교육에 관심이 높아져 가고 있지만, 언어 분야의 우수한 학습자를 위한 교육은 상당히 미진한 실정이다. 따라서 이들에 대한 연구 및 교육의 필요성이 절실히 요구된다. 본 연구는 언어 영역의 우수한 학습자들의 언어적 창의성을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 본 프로그램은 주로 문학 창작 영역을 중심으로 개발되었고, 영재교육과정의 기본 원리를 참고로 하였다. 본 프로그램은 이해, 탐구, 프로젝트의 3단계로 구성되었으며, 계열성과 위계성을 갖도록 하였다. 본 프로그램은 학생들이 학습 과정에서 자신의 수준에 맞도록 선택할 수 있도록 분절화 되어 있므므로, 자신의 능력과 흥미에 맞게 이용가능하다. 또한 기존 교육과정의 내용을 단순하게 압축하는 식의 심화가 아니라, 교육목표와 내용 및 방법면에서 질적으로 차별화된 프로그램이기 때문에, 언어 영역의 우수한 학습자들의 언어적 창의성을 향상시키는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a creative writing enrichment program to improve verbal creativity for able learners in langnage arts. Development of this program is based on the principle of curriculum development for high-ability learners. The principle included content modifications, process modifications and product modifications. This program consisted of comprehension step, exploration step and project step which is modified Renzulli's enrichment triad. In comprehend step, the learners learn the basic skills and knowledge about creative writing, in exploration step, they experience advanced reference and specialized process training needed to write the creative writing, and in the project step, they identify and resolve real and solvable problems. Thus, this is qualitatively different from existed enrichment program and will be helped to improve students' verbal creativity. This program may be run as a after school program or discretional activities. To run the program, the teacher should choose a unit of program according to the level of the students' interests and abilities.
