창의성 계발을 위한 유아 디자인교육에 대한 연구

A Study on Early Childhood Design Education for the Development of Creativity

디자인 교육은 기본적으로 문제 해결 능력을 발달시키고, 미에 대한 적극적 활용과 함께 일상생활에서 창의적인 자기표현 능력을 배양시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 한 디자인 교육의 필요성에 대한 모색과 현재 우리현실의 유아교육에 적합한 디자인 교육방법을 제시하는 데 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 일차적으로 유아 디자인 교육의 필요성을 기존 문헌을 통해 살피고, 이차적으로 디자인에 대한 개념을 유아들에게 단계적으로 접근하기 위한 교재와 워크북 및 교사용 지침서를 제안하고, 삼차적으로 각각의 단계적 내용에 적합한 교구 및 교재를 활용한 체험놀이와 조형 활동의 프로그램을 개발 및 제시하고자 하였다. 이 프로그램은 유아들이 점, 선, 면, 입체 등 과 같은 디자인의 기초개념을 놀이를 통해 몸으로 직접 체험하고, 스스로 표현활동에 참여함으로서 정보수집, 분석, 발견의 과정을 거쳐 창의성 계발을 목표로 하고 있다. 이는 디자인 교육 속에 담긴 사회ㆍ문화적 정신을 가르치고 결과중심이 아닌 창의적 과정으로서의 디자인 교육을 모색하고자하는 시도이고, 미술교육의 내용적 확장과 미(美)에 대한 합리적 실현의 기회가 될 것이다.

The 21st century requires the education to be able to foster the human image to meet new change. Out of it, creativity may be designated as the most important and necessary feature of human beings for future society. Creativity is the ability to be often discovered from subjective, highly-motivated and productive people as what creates the best solution for a certain issue state. As design activity is not only simple problem solution course in connection with it, creativity and creation course get to have important meaning, and the reestablishment of concept for design eduction is required by recognizing design education again in connection with creativity. Creativity in design education is made by endless thought and imagination, experiment, improvement and innovation as well as imagination and twinkling inspiration. For this research, literatures on developing method of creation, basic education, design education in various fields and more, have been observed. I have focused on improving methods of inventive expression through the various design activities and making children have interest in design. However, design education in early childhood has not been established for many reasons. So that, I have made story that we can find in family lives, to give them efficient teaching. These methods stimulate children's vigorous imagination and creativity and take the great role to improve and maximize their potential ability. This research has tried to make people recognition of importance of early childhood design education and develop expression and design formation with well-designed program. Also, I sought to be able to utilized this design education program in early childhood institution like kindergarden and day care center. Furthmore, I sought to able to propose a guidance method to be able to be utilized for teachers who worked with early child.
