The Direction of North Korean Literature Since Literature Theory Under the Jucheism

This article is trying to recover the linguistic and cultural identification between North and South Korea through a study of North Korean literature. Specially this article focused on 『Literature theory under the Jucheism』, and analyzed actual literary works in North Korean literature since Jucheism was announced. In chapter 2, this article analyzed the meaning of 『Literature theory under the Jucheism』 which Kim Jung-il made. In chapter 3, this article also analyzed North Korean short stories since 『Literature theory under the Jucheism』 until now. This analysis in chapter 3 specially focused on 1990's North Korean short stories appearing 『Chosun Munhak』 and 『Chungnyon Munhak』. In chater 4, this article analyzed North Korean poetry since 『Literature theory under the Jucheism』 until now. In this point of view, this article is trying to reveal the meaning and character of North Korean literature through critical analysis about actual works both novels and poems since 『Literature theory under the Jucheism』was made. Now we have to focus on actual literary works instead of ideological understanding and analysis for the North Korean literature.
