아직 국내에서는 만성질환 및 허약으로 인해 학업 수행에 어려움을 겪는 건강장애 학생들을 위한 교육 서비스 체계가 제대로 갖추어 지지 않았으며, 일부 대형병원을 중심으로 하는 병원 학교 이외에는 체계적인 교육에 대한 관심이 부족한 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소아암, 신장/심장 장애 및 당뇨 등을 지닌 학생의 부모들을 대상으로 건강장애 학생들의 교육 현황과 요구에 대한 인식을 조사함으로써 향후 이들을 위한 교육 서비스를 수립하는데 기초 자료가 되고자 하였다. 199명의 장애학생 부모들이 설문 조사에 응답하였다. 조사 결과, 학교 교육이 충분히 학생들의 개인적인 필요를 채워주지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 입원중 병원에서의 교육 뿐 아니라 학교로 돌아가는 학생을 위한 학교 복귀 지원에 대한 요구도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 건강장애 학생을 위한 교육에서는 일반학교 교사 뿐 아니라 병원학교 교사, 병원 사회복지사. 간호사 등의 의료진의 역할도 중요하게 여겨졌다. 마지막으로 건강장애 학생을 위한 교육서비스 수립에 시사하는 바가 논의되었다.
It is not appropriate to educational support system and interested in their systematic education for students with health impairment who they have many of the problems in the school caused by chronic disease in Korea. The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition of the presence state things and needs on parents of students with health impairment(pediatric cancer, cardiac disorders/renal disorders, diabetes mellitus) and provide on based researches in the future study. 199 parents participated for the survey. The results suggested that it is not sufficient on the school education for students with health impairment. It was indicated that the parents of students with health impairment highly needed not only during hospitalization but also return to school support program. It was also proposed that the parents have health-related support needs in regarding to teacher, social worker, and nurse in Hospital in addition to educational support by teacher in the school. Finally this study discussed on establishing of the educational service for students with health impairment.
