A Study on Choi Il-Soo's Literary Criticism in the 1950~1960's

This paper is an examination of Choi Il-Soo's Literary Criticism in the 1950~1960's. This paper clsssified Choi Il-Soo's Criticism aspect of Literary Generation, Culture Tradition, National Literature. 1. About the Literary Generation, Choi Il-Soo used discourse strategy of inclusion and difference, distinct from other critic' strategy of exclusion and enhancement. 2. About the Culture Tradition, Choi Il-Soo surpassed the strategy of concealment by the tradition negationists and abstract and ideal discourse by the tradition accessionist. 3. About the National Literature, Choi Il-Soo's discourse re-defined the nationality through the historical view. And Choi Il-Soo's National Literature were continued to the concern about the third world's literature. And Choi Il-Soo's National realism were on the basis of the confidence in the progress of history and he had the intention to the methods of creation. Finally, We could understand that Choi Il-Soo's Literary Criticism were superior to others' in the field of 1950's Literary Criticism about the aspect in the tradition and National Literature and it could be more clear when compared with other critical subject.
