A Study on Minjok Gagug Chunghyanjeon

This study is to clarify the genre style of Minjok Gagug(North Korean contemporary music drama) the dramatic structure and the meaning-structure of Chunhyanjeon text. The result of analysis can be summarized as follows. First, Minjok Gagug is developed with the opera style of Chulrima(천리마) art and letters, 'pibada' revolutionary opera, (one of the well known North Korean music drama) the opera style of ChosunMinjokJeilJu(North Korean people superiority in the world) Second, Chunhyanjeon turns a pairs of lovers into the class struggle. Third, Chunhyanjeon turns affective plot of 'meeting→ parting→ reunion' affective plot into melodramatic structure of 'provocation→ pangs→ penalty' Fourth, Chunhyanjeon presents the delight of affection with the circulating plot. Fifth, Chunhyanjeon is the typical text as the struggle between the governing class and the governed class. Sixth, Chunhyanjeon makes the governing class as moral fallen. Finally, This study's assignment is a performance study on Minjok Gagug Chunhyanjeon
