은유를 통한 통합적 미술 감상 교육

Metaphor and Interdisciplinary Art Education

본고에서는 미술작품을 시각적 은유로 보고 은유적 의미 형성을 위해 미술교육의 접근 방법을 찾아보고자 한다. 우선 은유의 개념을 살펴보고 이를 미술과 관련시켜 생각해 보았다. 다음으로 이를 토대로 시각적 은유로서의 여러 가지 미술작품을 분석해보고 미술교육에서 어떻게 미술작품의 의미를 은유적으로 다룰 것인가를 설명하였다. 마지막으로 통합적 미술교육을 통한 실천적 방안의 모색으로 세 가지 측면 즉 1)시각적·감각적 경험을 통한 의미의 구성, 2)개인적 경험의 유추 그리고 3)사회적 문제의식을 들었다.

This article examines works of art as visual metaphor and focuses on pedagogical approaches in art education to construct metaphorical meanings. Metaphor is explored from diverse perspectives and related to works of art. The article analyzes metaphorical meanings in artworks and investigates how art educators could help students construct metaphorical meanings. Three factors are presented based on interdisciplinary art education curricula through visual and linguistic experiences: 1)visual and sensory elements 2) personal analogy, and 3) social context.
