[Abstract] Analyses of Issues in Telecommunications: Policy Suggestions in the Convergence Era

This report is a collection of papers written by various members of AITS(Association of Information and Telecommunications Studies) under the support of KT, SK Telecom, and KERI(Korea Economic Research Institute). The papers review issues arising in telecommunications in the convergence era, and provide policy suggestions. Among a number of important issues, the papers here analyze the Korean and the U. S. IT industries, Satellite DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service, convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting, WiBro(portable internet) service, and tipping in the Korean mobile telecommunications.
