A Study of the Day Care Program for Urban Poor Area

The purpose of this study is (a) to design a conceptual day care program for children and their working mothers ; (b) to perform the program to H Kindergarten in Y Dong ; and (c) to modify conceptual day care program based on group games. The subject of the study is 30 H Kindergarten children of 5, 6, 7 years old and their working mothers. The method used for this study was to design instructional day care program based on "Model for Planning an Instructional System" by A.J. Fiorino. Also records by the study team (the researcher of this project, project assistant, the kindergarten teacher, and assistant teacher) and case studies were summarized for the study purpose. Finally group games for the day care program were modified after iteration. On the basis of perform ("trade offs") 45 group games were drawn for one academic year activities. In this study, only 12 group games are discussed in detail. The list of parents' education for 1988, and two parents' manuals are shown in the appendix.
