Neo-DBAE의 의미와 특성에 관한 고찰

A Study on the Perception of Meaning of Neo-DBAE

  본 연구는 1980년대 이후 우리나라 미술교육에 많은 영향을 주고 있는 DBAE 이론의 변화 요인과 그 특성에 대하여 연구함으로써 미술교육에 주는 시사점을 고찰하고자 하였다. 초기 이론에 제기된 문제점과 변화된 시대적 경향성의 수용, 미술 관련 요소들 간의 실천적 상호작용은 이론 발전과 확장의 원천이 되었다. Neo-DBAE는 네영역의 중첩과 선택적 적용을 통한 다양한 학습 형태의 모색과 실천, 다양하고 다원적인 미술 경험의 확장, 관련 학문 간의 통합적 접근을 통한 다양한 문화의 맥락적 이해를 그 특성으로 한다. 따라서 Neo-DBAE는 네 영역을 통한 비평적 사고활동으로 시각적 문해력을 신장시키고 다양한 문화 이해를 위한 통합적 지도 방법을 확대함으로써 현재와 미래 미술교육에 그 시사점을 지닌다.

  This study explores the implications of DBAE on art education, which is a theory that has influenced a lot on the art education of Korea since the 1980s, by examining its attributes and the factors of its change. DBAE has developed and expanded by both accepting the problems that were raised at it early stage and the changing trend a nd practically interacting with factors related to art. Neo-DBAE has such attributes as the practicing and seeking of various types of learning through the selective application and the overlapping of four disciplines the expansion of various multilateral experiences of art and the contextual understanding of different cultures through an integrated approach among related studies. Therefore, Neo-DBAE has implications on the art education of both the present and the future by extending visual literacy with critical thinking in four disciplines and expanding integrated teaching methods for the understanding of various cultures.
