국내 자폐 교육 관련 연구의 동향 분석: 1996-2005년 특수교육 학술지 수록 연구를 중심으로

Research Trends in Education for Autistic People: A Review of Research from 1996 to 2005

  본 연구는 국내의 1996년부터 2005년까지의 자폐 교육 관련 연구를 중심으로 자폐 교육의 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 선정 기준에 따라 총 140편의 자폐 관련 논문을 대상으로 연구주제, 연구유형, 연구대상을 분석하고 실험연구를 대상으로 중재환경과 중재전략을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 연구주제별 분석에서 사회적 상호작용과 언어 및 의사소통에 관한 주제로 연구가 많이 이루어졌다. 연구유형은 중재 및 처지의 효과를 판별하고 평가하는 응용연구가 주를 이루었으며, 자료수집방법으로는 실험법이 주를 이루었다. 연구 대상은 주로 자폐 아동을 대상으로 하였으며 유아 및 초등의 연령이 주를 이루었고 대상자의 수는 1명과 3명이 가장 많았다. 중재연구 대상의 중재환경에 대한 분석에서는 대상자에게 친숙한 환경에서 그리고 사설기관 및 치료실에서 가장 많이 실시하였다. 중재전략으로는 기술중심중재와 성과가 기대되는 실제를 가장 많이 적용한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 연구의 방향이 논의되었다.

  The purpose of this study was to synthesize research trends in education for autistic people by analyzing journal articles related to autistic people published from 1996 to 2005 in Korea. A total of 140 articles were selected by the criteria for this synthesis and were analyzed in terms of research topics, type, and subjects. In case of empirical study, intervention settings and strategies were additionally analyzed. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the research topic areas most referred were social interaction, communication, and applied research on seeking to identify and evaluate intervention approaches. Second, the applied research that investigated the effect of interventions was increased. The methodology of research which was prevalent was experimental study. Third, the mostly targeted research subjects were babyhood and childhood children with autistic disorders, and the number of samples was generally 1 or 3. Fourth, the most used intervention setting was private institute and clinic. Fifth, intervention strategies related to skill-based interventions and treatments, and scientifically based practices were received relatively more attention Based on the result, the implication for education for autistic people were discussed, and future study issues were recommended.
