The Development of the Flat Cup with Cover and Relation with the Surrounding Region of the Yeongsangang Basin

&nbsp;&nbsp;삼국시대 영산강유역에서 출토되는 개배는 형태적으로 다양하여 시기적인 변화와 지역적인 차이를 파악할 수 있는 좋은 자료라고 판단된다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;영산강유역의 개배는 대부분 무뉴식으로 전체적인 형태, 구연부의 형태에 따라 10개의 형식으로 나눌 수 있으며 형식들의 변천 양상을 조합하여 6期로 분기할 수 있다. 영산강유역에서 개배는 5세기 중엽경부터 A형과 함께 B형이 주로 보이며 5세기말～6세기 전반(3～5期)에는 여러 가지 C형과 D형이 공존하면서 변화되어 가다가 6세기 후반 이후에는 백제 사비기 개배와 같은 E형이 보이는 것으로 추정된다. 일본열도의 須惠器(系)와 가야(계) 개배는 대체로 2～4期에 확인된다. 특히 3～4期에 공존하는 Ca형, Cb형, Cc형, D형 개배는 중심 분포지역에서 차이를 보이는데 Ca형은 영산강중류지역, Cb형은 영산강하류지역, Cc1형은 와탄천유역의 이북지역, Cc2형은 영산강상류 지역에 각각 분포하고 있다. 특히 백제식이라 할 수 있는 D형은 영산강중류지역과 와탄천이남지역에 집중되면서도 영산강유역에 넓게 분포하고 있는 점에서 다른 형식들과는 구별된다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;그리고 영산강유역에서 외래계 개배, 주변지역의 영산강유역 관련 개배의 분포 양상을 통해 5세기대에는 주변지역과의 관계에서 영산강유역의 재지세력이 중심이 되었지만 5세기말 이후에는 점차 백제와 관련이 깊은 영산강중류지역이 중심이 되었던 것으로 추정된다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The flat cup with cover are most found among the pottery in the mound tombs of the Yeongsangang basin. In that the flat cup with cover of the Yeongsangang basin are varied in shape, and also, in the same tombs, a various shape of the flat cup with cover are found, it is thought that chronological changes and local differences are well reflected in the flat cup with cover of the Yeongsangang basin.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;According to the whole shape and the shape of the mouth, the flat cup with cover of the Yeongsangang basin are classified into 10 types, and divided into six phrases combining the transition of the types. It is assumed that from the mid-5th century were the A type and the B type of the flat cup with cover mostly showed, in the end of 5th century～the early 6th century(the 3～5 phrase) did a variety of the C type and the D type coexist and change, and after the late 6th century were the E type, which is the same as those of the Baekje Sabi period, showed. The flat cup with cover of the Wo(倭) and the Gaya mostly appeared in the 2～4 phrase.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;And the Ca type, the Cb type, the Cc type and the D type of the flat cup with cover, which were the mainstream of the 3～4 phrase, is differentiated in central distribution region. The Ca type are distributed in the middle area of the Yeongsangang, the Cb type in the lower area of the Yeongsangang, the Cc1 type in the northern area of the Watancheon basin, and the Cc2 type in the upper area of the Yeongsangang, respectively. Especially, in that the D type, the Baekje-style, are centered in the middle area of the Yeongsangang and the southern area of the Watancheon basin, and also, widely distributed in the Yeongsangang basin, the D type are distinguished from the others.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Through the distributional aspect of the exotic flat cup with cover of the Yeongsangang basin and the flat cup with cover connected with the Yeongsangang basin among those of the surrounding region, it is assumed that relating with the surrounding region, in the 5th century, the native force of the Yeongsangang basin was the central force, but, after the 6th century, the force of the middle area of the Yeongsangang, which was deep-connected with the Baekje, gradually played a central role.
