예술교육에 대한 교육학적 성찰

A Educational Reflect on Art Education

  전통적 의미의 장르 중심의 예술교육은 새로운 전기를 맞이하고 있다. 학문적으로는 포스트모더니즘의 영향 아래 미학의 일상화 논의가 확산되어가고 있고, 사회적으로는 매체와 코드의 세기적 변화가 감지되고 있다. 이와 더불어 지식기반사회에서 요구되는 인간의 능력에 대한 국제적인 논의가 계속되고 있고 이와 관련한 문화적 역량과 예술적 역량에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 변화된 환경속에서 예술교육이 새로운 패러다임으로 전환하기 위하여 두 가지 방향이 제시되고 있다. 첫째는 예술교육을 일상성까지를 포함한 미학교육으로 확장시키는 작업이고, 둘째는 예술교육을 문화교육의 측면에서 접근하는 작업이다. 또한 예술교육의 학문적 위상을 바르게 하기 위하여 예술교육을 예술이론과 미학이론으로부터 독립시킬 필요성이 있으며 이는 교육적 사고와 실천을 예술적 사고와 실천과 정확히 구별하는 작업으로부터 시작된다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The genre-focused education featuring traditional meaning has faced its turning point .Under the influence of Postmodernism, the argument on the matter of daily-based aesthetics has been expanding academically ,at the same time, the change of a medium and a code also has been perceived socially as the happening of the century. In addition, it is considered that the international discussion continues focusing on the human competency which is demanded in the knowledge-based society and it is also regarded that its related cultural competency and artistic competency as being brought into relief.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper presents two ways to make art education transformed into new paradigm, passing through the changed environment. First is the work that expands art education up to aesthetic education involving daily basis. Second is the conduct that approaches to art education in the aspect of cultural education. Besides, it is considered as necessary to distinct art education from art theory and aesthetic theory, in order to make art education positioned right scholarly. It originates from the work of distinguishing educational thought and praxis, from artistic thought and praxis.
