대화를 바탕으로 한 소그룹 프로젝트에서 해석학적 순환에 의한 아동의 그림표현 변화과정에 관한 연구

A Study on the Process of Transformation in Children"s Artistic Expressions Using Hermeneutical Circulation in a Small-group Project through Dialogue

  이 연구는 실증주의적 세계관에 의한 교육의 한계로부터 비롯된 문제들에 대한 대안으로 해석학적 관점의 교육을 바탕으로 한 소그룹 프로젝트 수행에 의해 이루어졌다. 아동과 교사, 아동과 텍스트, 아동 상호간의 대화를 통한 소그룹 프로젝트에서 아동들은 미술시간에 겪는 표현의 어려움들을 스스로의 표현 전략에 의해 해결해 나가면서 표현에 대한 자신감을 회복해 갔다. 또 대화를 통한 소통이 활발해질수록 텍스트에 대한 보다 다양한 해석들이 드러나고 그러한 다양성 안에서 상호 간에 공유된 이해에 이르면서 또래 간의 의미 만들기(meaning-making)가 이루어졌다. 그리고 그 의미가 그림으로 변환되었을 때 아동들의 표현에서 변화가 드러났다. 이 연구는 이러한 변화를 이끈 아동들의 대화를 해석학적 순환에 의해 분석하였는데 교사와 아동, 텍스트 사이에 전 이해와 새로운 이해의 순환, 질문과 응답의 순환, 참여와 초연의 순환 등이 일어났음이 드러났다. 아동들은 대화를 통해 더 나은 이해에 이르면서 표현에서의 어려움을 해소해 갈 수 있었다.

  This study explores the transformation of children"s artistic expression using hermeneutical circulation. In hermeneutics, education is seen as a process of human life, and it is suggested that each individual constructs knowledge and discovers meanings based on specific life experiences. This study proposes a small-group project through dialogue. In the begging of the project, children speak candidly about their concerns or experiences. In the dialogue, children decide the theme based on their common interests. Children express their interpretations of the theme into artistic expression. While the project progresses, children share their own understanding about the theme or artistic expressions with their teacher and peers. They can gain more profound understandings and reveal their knowledge through discussion. Finally, they can express their new understanding through art. As a result, children can improve their artistic ability. The entire process of this practical study documented by the researcher. The researcher analyzed the dialogue of the children from the perspective of hermeneutic circulation because the dialogue enabled the children to improve their artistic ability. From the documentation, the researcher found out hermeneutical circulation such as the circle of questions and answers, the circle of pre-understanding and understanding, and the circle of participation and distanciation.
