특수학급 미술수업의 현황 및 치료교육적 접근에 의한 제언 - 수원지역 초등학교를 중심으로

A Study on the State and Therapeutic-educational Art Education in the Special Classes: Focused on Elementary Schools in Suwon

  본 연구의 목적은 수원지역 초등학교에 설치된 특수학급의 교사들을 대상으로 미술수업에 대한 현황과 문제점에 대해 조사하고, 설문 결과를 바탕으로 특수학급 교사들의 요구와 특수성을 살린 치료교육적 미술교육에 대한 방향을 제언하고자 한다. 본 연구의 첫 번째 목표는 전국적으로 많은 초등학교에 설치 운영되고 있는 특수학급 중 수원지역을 중심으로 장애아동들의 개별화된 특성에 맞는 미술교육이 시행되고 있는가를 조사하는 것이다. 두 번째 목표는 특수학급 대상아동에 대한 효과적인 미술수업을 위해 치료 교육적 미술교육에 대한 필요성과 실행을 위한 현실적 제언을 하고자 한다. 본 설문의 결과에서처럼, 교사들은 미술활동을 통해 아동들에게 현재의 문제를 표현, 개선하려는 심리 치료적 역할과 미적 안목 및 기술 습득을 위한 교육적 목표가 함께 공유되기를 바라고 있다. 따라서 특수학급의 치료 교육적 미술활동의 필요성과 적절한 양질의 교육서비스에 대한 요구를 달성하기 위해서는 치료 교육적 미술활동에 대한 구체적인 현장 적용과 그에 대한 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Art provides much benefits for the student with special needs that other academic curriculum cannot provide. Art activity is helpful for children in the special classes to express their mind and thinking and to improve their communication skill. But the reality of art education in the special classes of elementary school has many difficulties, so we need to survey of that to do efficient art activity for handicapped children.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study was initially researched the present condition and problem of art class for special class teachers in Elementary schools in Suwon area and was suggested the demand and the extraordinary nature of art education according to the results of questionnaire. The first purpose of this study is for research into the situation making the most of special children&quot; characteristics. The second purpose is to recommend a requirement of art activities and a planning condition about an effective therapeutic-educational art activity for students in special class. As a result of the questionnaire, the teachers want to share educational purpose about a psychological role, an aesthetic sense and a learning skill through art activity as expressing and improving the present problems with special class student.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Furthermore, to accomplish the needs about a good quality educational service and a requirement of art activity in special class, this study is discussed about applying specific situation of therapeutic educational art activity for the future study.
