The paper critically reviews Boeckx"s (2001) claim that Agree cannot penetrate the Islands but Match can. Instead, it will be argued that Agree can penetrate the Islands but Move cannot. This claim will be motivated by the assumption that the EPP domain differs from the feature checking domain. Some evidence will be presented that the EPP exists independently of the formal features.
