The Use of Short Stories in Korean EFL High Schools

  This study was intended to produce sample lesson plans for Korean high school EFL teachers who have a desire to use short stories as authentic texts in their classroom. Because literature is indeed a powerful tool for helping EFL students’ language acquisition, a possible linking of language and literature studies is implemented in this project. Creating lesson plans to utilize short stories in Korean high school EFL settings is an experiment in linking language and literature. It is hoped that high school EFL teachers in Korea will feel free to use those sample plans in any manner which will meet the needs of their students.
