장애유아의 성공적 통합교육을 위한 사회적 기술에 대한 교사와 어머니의 인식

장애유아 교육에 대한 최근의 동향은 장애유아에게도 정상적인 교육의 기회를 열어주자는 완전통합교육의 단계로 발전하고 있다. 장애유아의 통합교육이 성공적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 몇 가지 변인들이 고려되어져야 하는데, 그 중에서도 사회적 지식을 이해하고 실제상황에 적용 및 응용하는 사회적 기술은 반드시 갖추어야 할 내용이다. 본 연구에서는 장애유아의 성공적 통합교육을 위한 사회적 기술에 대한 유아교육기관의 교사의 인식과 장애 유아 어머니의 인식을 알아보고, 장애유아의 성공적 통합교육을 위한 사전교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to obtain basic information necessary for a successful integrative education for young children with special needs. With this purpose, the researcher attempted to find the differences in perceptions about social skills for young children with special needs for successful integration between teachers from institutions for early childhood education and the mothers of the young children. This survey was classified by the teachers and the mothers general characteristics, such as the teachers educational background, the teachers teaching experience that worked with young children with special needs, the mothers' educational background, monthly income of the family, and the age of their young children with special needs. The subjects of this study were 405 in total number, consisting of teachers from educational institutions for young children with special needs, located in Busan where integrative education for such young children population is provided, and the mothers of the young children. The device used for the study was a questionnaire, developed by this researcher through the modification and supplementation of Stephen's (1978) Social Behavior Assessment and verified in reliability and validity. Data obtained from the study were analyzed using t-test and F -test. Results of the study could be summarized as follows. First, there was no difference in perceptions about social skills for young children for successful integrated education between the teachers and the mothers. Second, those teachers who have longer teaching experience, better educational background, and have ever worked with young children with special needs usually more often perceive the importance of such social skills as mentioned above. Third, those mothers who were better educated, whose families have higher monthly income and whose children are younger usually more often perceive the importance of the social skills.
