어린이집의 조기 영어교육에 대한 부모, 원장, 교사의 인식조사

The Understanding Inquiry for Early English Education in Daycare Center from Parents, Directors, Teacher

  The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual conditions of preschool English education, and directors, teachers", and parents" recognition of preschool early English education in Cheongju-city. Subjects of this study were 88 directors, 151 teachers, and 357 parents who were attending daycare centers in Cheongju, Korea. The study was performed by a questionnaire made by this researcher, and the data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, and x² - test.   The results of this study were as follows:   1) Preschool early English education was practiced to preschooler of large group type in most of all preschools. Home English education was practiced to 4-5 years old preschooler in the majority of home. preschooler studied usually about 10-30 minutes, they interested in English education. 2) Preschool teachers considered that imitation of foreigner pronunciation was good English education method. they preferred to English teacher who had a knowledge about early childhood development and leading. Also parents in daycare centers considered that beginning time of early English education was proper in early childhood. They thought that short sentence speaking and short sentence listening are good English education method. 3) Directors and teachers" recognition of preschool early English education were significantly different in actual situation of English education, reasonable preschooler number, and times, appropriate teacher and actual plan of English education.
