It was administerd to evaluate functional hearing activities of hearing impairment children with Auditory Number Test of Erber(1985). The subjects ranged from 3;9 to 10;6 years, and their average pure tone thresholds ranged in level from 52 to 120 scaled out dBHL. Resulting scores indicated separation of subjects on the basis of auditory perception level. In general, the subjects with thresholds poorer than 110dB were in only gross acoustic patterns. However children with thresholds better than 110dB were very varied.<BR> The ANT was an easy-to-administer test for evaluation of a child"s functional hearing activities. This study was sufficient to verify practicability of the ANT. This test in recommended for time-saving evaluation of functional hearing activities in young hearing impaired children to aid in the planning of an auditory learning program in clinical settings.
