Computer-mediated communication is one of the most useful tools of today"s English education environment. Lots of studies show us the characteristics, benefits, and the potential possibility of CMC in SLA. Yet, compared with the studies showing what occurs during CMC, few studies are done about its post-task activities of CMC. This study is aimed at constructing post-task activities for the synchronous computer mediated communication. Post-task activities of face-to-face task were investigated at first, then these were adopted and modified for the CMC environment. Error-analysis, task repetition, self-reflection, and speaking activities were suggested. Several post-activities were implemented in college, and the responses of 42 participants and their preferred activities were reported. Participants analyzed their errors into the grammatical and lexical errors. The effects of task repetition were discussed in terms of fluency, accuracy, complexity, strategies, and comments about the contents. They preferred the revision, peer/group activity, and useful expression review activities. It is suggested that the English text-chatting task should be followed by some appropriate post-activities which can help students" second language development.
