GVA 2000을 이용한 원격 강의용 영어학습 컨텐츠 개발 - 제7차 교육과정을 적용한 중학교 1학년을 중심으로

The development of English learning contents using GVA 2000 program for remote teaching ; For the 7th grade students applied to the 7th curriculum

  The purpose of this study is to develop English learning contents using GVA 2000 program for remote teaching. With the 7th English curriculum applied to Middle School students since 2001, there are many problems in teaching and learning English. Firstly, students have different proficiencies in their language skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing because of English education in elementary schools. Secondly, the students have three English classes a week in the curriculum. To learn English more effectively, they need more classes. To overcome these problems, new methods for teaching and learning English are required. This study attempts to develop learning contents suitable for the students language skills. To fill up lacking classes, students can use the contents on the computer for themselves. GVA 2000 program is a tool for remote teaching. It provides students with a teacher"s voice, supplemental learning materials, various items for English, related English learning sites and so on. So they can listen to the teacher"s lecture on the computer repeatedly if they want to. They can also skip the lecture if they know it well. And they can solve the provided problems and learn more with surfing related learning sites. They can help students learn English more for themselves and study in accordance with their language skills at anywhere at anytime.
