Internet Interconnection Revenue Model for Electronic Commerce

  The fundamental infrastructure of e-commerce is interconnection between telecommunications network. This paper presents various alternatives which the users access to internet through public network with business models. This paper deals with business model in the view of network infrastructure while internet business models focus on commerce on Internet. There are two types of access to internet through public network. One is the case which the number of telephone network access carrier is one as standard internet access model. The other is case which the number of telephone network access carrier is beyond two. In latter case, internet user is served by terminating network operator. In Europe, this type of internet access is used most frequently. This paper classifies access charge arrangements method according to the number of network access carrier and the type of access. Also this paper applies this models to cases in Europe.
