A Study on Renewal Plan and Realization Method of Local City Central Area in Japan

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to find out the renewal strategies of central area in local city. We analysed the renewal plans &amp; realization methods in central area with the eight examples in Japan, that had problems were similar to ours. The results are as follows:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. As a result that is readjusted the present situation of domestic central areas, in base on documentary records at home and abroad, We found out 8 problems; amenity, connection, safety, context, etc.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. In accordance with a analyzed result in the eight examples of Japan, found out 6 charging functions in renewal business; Making a base in a district, An infrastructure maintenance, Urban-view maintenance, Renewing of a circular space, Renewing of historical resources, Building up the function of downtown.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3. As a result that we drew a renewal plan type as, in following with renewal projects, there were 4 types; Building up a base, Using a historical foundation, Making network, Building up downtown. Therefore, they classified four types: The repair type &amp; Urban Axis type that they launched 2core projects and gradually set up dual-core partnership type, The circular type as management method that made a district base by intensive mall improvements in a traditional village, The building up multi-core type that lead each midium-project by several base-project. And also, Many Improvement Methods are devised and applied.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In different way with ours case that renewal plan is carried out by just single project at central area, they are classify roles &amp; functions of each project and cooperate with other groups and lead expending effect by Total Renewal Plan. Therefore we need Total Renewal-method in more aggressive and multiple level, in order to pass the limit of our current central-area-renew.
