Commercial use of the electronic commerce has increased dramatically. The way successful business compete in this dynamic electronic commerce age may be different. Strategic successful in deploying electronic commerce in this environment must show how IT can add value specifically in the context of the contemporary business environment and reference the changed competitive threats and opportunities in this environment. For these reason the way information technology can be used as a source of added value and competitive advantage may be different.<BR> This paper present a value based methodology for the deployment of electronic commerce. It consists of value creating principles actions observed to create value and seven phase value creation process as a framework to apply these action.
