In studying the way of our thinking and life, we can"t study it without studying the traditional system such as way of forefather"s thinking and action. Accordingly, as I analyzed Kyuk Mong Yo Kyul, Displine Book for Children of Yulgok, great politician and great scholar, I intended to investigate figure of being human been idealized in the period and way of practical education. The education of the period was the integrated education been not differentiated knowledge education from humanism education. But for inquiring meaning of modernistic education I divided the integrated education into education for learning, education for reverence of body, education for role and education for management of affairs and analyzed it. As the result, the education for children in the period has been dealt with very concretely and minutely in all the aspects. In view of Children Development Step of Piaget, because the education corresponded to Concrete Operation Step I regard the education was very effective. And the education can be easily internalized from the basic principle to the end, exactly how to eat by correspondence of home and society. But the education of these days is accomodated itself to circumstances by outside conditions and has room of confusion. But the children of the period has had hindrance of revelation of progressive and creative thinking because of extreme rank-centered human relation. And because all the education of the period was based upon not full curiosity and achievement motive out of children"s inside but adult level, the education made positivism spirit of children weakly.
