A Research on Resist-Dyed Fabrics in ancient Kerea

  Resist-dyeing Takes an important part of ancient dyed culture in kerea.   But, Surprisingly little had been Written about the resist-dyeing, This research on resist-dyeing culture of ancient has been made from the view point of wold dyeing history on the basis of historical document.   Results are as follows.   1. Resist-dyed textiles were dyeing in various way early in Samkuk dynasties.   mestly used by the nobility and upper classes as formal garments of household ornaments in samkuk dynasties. They were also experted to neighboring countries (Japan, chima). Where they were highly esteemed for their artistic value, Alredy in the samkuk dynasties, Ancient Korea dyeing experting these dyeing to Japan and continued to do so through most of the Tongilsilla Dynasty.   2. The art dyeing began in ancient Korea before it developed in Japan.   3. Resist-dyed textiles is Traditional dyed textiles in ancient Korea.   4. Sincerely hope that this research will be the starting point for more specific research on Korean dyeing culture and that more informative literature will be results in the future
