발달연구의 횡단적 접근법에서 평균성장형태의 탐색

Investigation of Mean Growth Curves in Cross-sectional Approach to the Developmental Research

  한 시점에서 발달단계별로 동년배 집단(cohort)을 동시에 표집, 측정하여 발달의 평균적인 성장 형태를 탐구하는 횡단적 접근법은 발달연구의 현실적인 방법의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 다층모형을 이용하여 횡단적 접근법에 대한 모형을 설정하고 분석하는 방안을 제시하였다. 여기에서는 직선형(straight line) 성장곡선, 다항식(polynomial) 성장곡선, 그리고 구획적 선형모형(piecewise linear models) 성장곡선 등 선형 성장곡선으로 평균성장곡선 모형을 설정하였다. 이 모형들로 초등학교 1학년에서 고등학교 2학년까지 11개 학년 동안의 설명적 텍스트 구조에 대한 이해력 발달 성장곡선을 추정하였다.

  The cross-sectional approach, where sampled subjects from each developmental stage are measured, is an important and practical method for a developmental research. This study presents the modeling procedures of multilevel models for cross-sectional approach to developmental research. In this study, three kinds of growth curves were considered.: strait line growth curve, polynomial growth curve and piecewise linear model growth curve. Also these modeling procedures and related analysis issues are demonstrated by using actual data.
