The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of serum lipids and hormone after 12 weeks muscular resistance training. Subjects were composed of eight middle aged healthy women. The muscular resistance training was 60~70% of 1RM(Intensity), 60 minutes a day(duration), 4 days a week(frequency) during 12 weeks. We found that Low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), Triglyceride(TG), Apolipoprotein B(Apo-B) were significantly decreased and High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) was significantly increased after 12 weeks resistance training. Also, Cortisol and Growth hormone were tended to increase and Epinephrine was significantly decreased after 12 weeks resistance training.<BR> In conclusion, muscular resistance training was shown to positive influence on lipids and hormone metabolic system. So it is maybe thought that muscular resistance training is very helpful for prevention of life related disease.
