Two-year swimming exercise was performed by ninth healthy, aged 36-50 years. The subject swim for 50 minutes a day, three days swimming for a week. It were measured that their maximal oxygen uptake during the treadmill exercise tests.
The results based this comparative analysis were as follows;
1. Max-Heart Rate was 170.11±13.76 beats/min in control group, 173.67±8.59 beats/min in swimming group, Max Ventilation was 63.98±10.54 l/min in control group, 75.06±13.65 l/min in swimming group, Max Tidal Volumn was 1.57±0.17 l/f in control group, 1.82±0.30 l/f in swimming group, Max Respiratory Rate was 40.33±4.80 f/min control group, 41.44±4.14 f/min in swimming group.
2. In maximal oxygen uptake ablity, VO2(l/min) was 1.83±0.20 l/min in control group, 2.36±0.53 l/min in swimming group. VO2(ml/㎏/min) was 31.36±3.76 ml/㎏/min in control group, 43.72±7.63 ml/㎏/min in swimming group.
3. a significant linear correlation was seen between oxygen uptake and heart rate. In the dynamic work load test, formular were Y=0.11×-0.18 in control group, and Y=0.17×-0.94 in swimming group.
