This study was undertaken to examine the effect of bojung Ikgi-tang on the muscular strength and respiratory, circulation functions. The sample group consists of a total of 21male soccer players who are working in Kyung Hee University. The group is divided into two parties with 10 and 11 persons respectively; The Experimental Group and the Control one were given a total of 15g of Bojung Ikgi-tang and placebo respectively, and they were given by 5g three times per day after the meal for the period of 5 weeks.<BR> The effect of Bojung Ikgi-tang was measured in terms of their body weight, leg strength, back strength, sargent jump, jump step test to evaluate the change in muscular strength and heart rate, and measured in terms of their ventilation, respiratory rate, all-out time, physical work capacity<SUB>170</SUB> with the help of cycle Ergometer to evaluate the change in respiratory, circulation functions.<BR> The first measurement was carried out before the experiment and the second one was done after 6 weeks.<BR> The results are as follows;<BR> 1) The weight was noticed to reduced by an average of 1.18% in the Contral Group, while increased by 0.19% after 6 weeks in the Experimental Group.<BR> 2) As for the record of the back strength, it was reduced from 105.40㎏ before the experiment to 104.83㎏(0.54%) in the Control Group, while increased from 115.55㎏ before the experiment to 119.33㎏(3.27%) after 6 weeks in the Experimental Group.<BR> 3) As for the record of the sargent jump, it was increased from 55.30㎝ before the experiment to 56.33㎝(0.95%) after 6 weeks in the Control Group, and increased from 55.91㎝ before the experiment to 58.10㎝(3.92%) after 6 weeks in the Experimental group.<BR> 4) As for the record of the jump step test, it was increased from 24.10 frequency before the experiment to 25.00 (3.73%) frequency after 6 weeks in the Control Group, and increased from 24.91 frequency before the experiment to 26.20 frequency (5.19%) after 6 weeks in the Experimental Group.
