The purpose of this study was to investigate muscle strength differences of trained and untrained during maximal isometric contraction.<BR> Also, In order to investigate differences of the muscle strength with the joint angle variations, the flextion and extention of maximal isometric contraction was performed.<BR> The subjects are divided into two groups (the trained are 15 and the untrained 15).<BR> The results would be summarized as follows:<BR> 1. According to the angle joint increases, muscle strength was significantly increased both in flextion and extention except for extention of untrained, which the strongest in the 120 degree.<BR> 2. The muscle strength of extention and flextion was showed significantly differences in an joint angles except for in 90 degree(extention).<BR> As a results of this paper, it was suggested that the muscle strength of 120 degree joint angle reflects the best of muscle efficiency.
