Seven male patients with heart diseases, over 50.6 years old, were randomly selected for this study. They received 6 week aerobic exercise with 60% maximum heart rate at 2 or 3 times a week. ECG was measured during exercise, and blood sample was taken before and after exercise. The conclusions of this study are the followings.
1) Mean exercise durations were 13:17±2:11 min, 9:58± 1:36 min, 10:39±2:21 min at pre phase, middle phase, and post phase, respectively. The mean exercise duration was significantly decreased during training(p<0.001) and after training(p<0.05).
2) LDL-cholesterol was decreased from 116.14±27.63 ㎎/㎗ to 104.42±36.78 ㎎/㎗ after training(p<0.05).
3) MCV was significantly decreased from 93.14±3.32fl to 89.72±3.16fl after training(p<0.01).
In conclusion, 6 week aerobic exercise decreased the diastolic blood pressure, metabolism index, exercise duration and LDL-cholesterol among male patients with heart disease.
