대학생의 교양무용 참여 실태조사

A research on the actual condition of college students attending a cultural course for dance

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study was done through question aries sent to 214 students who were not majored in a dance and attended a cultural lecture of a dance in the present time (the 1st semester of 1999) to find out the following matters. Why is the cultural lecture of a dance necessary? How was the understanding for a dance under the general characteristics changed after attending the cultural lecture of a dance? What is the difference in understanding and interest between before and attending the cultural lecture of a dance?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The summary of the results are as follows.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Firstly, 98 students(45.79%), 43 male students(43.87%) and 55 female students(56.13%), showed interest in ‘ballet’. In other words, ballet was proved to be understood easily and be highlighted for its esthetic value.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Secondly, 100 students(46.79%) responded they had understanding for a dance in normal level before the lecture, however 105 students(49.1%) responded they had understanding for a dance in higher level after the lecture. That was, students could increase the understanding for viewing of a dance performance through the lecture.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Thirdly, students could have wide appreciative power and basic knowledge to understand a dance, which was the most important results for the students who attended the lecture.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Fourthly, 122 students(57.01%) responded they would attend again other cultural lecture of a once except the present lecture. Specially, 49 students(40.16%) who majored in the department of liberal arts showed the greatest interest for the lecture.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Fifthly, 173 students(80.84%) responded the lecture increased their cognitive faculty for a dance, which showed the lecture had an great effect on understanding, interest and participation for a dance. Specialty, 92 male students(53.18%) answered in the affirmative for the effect of the lecture, which confirmed the effect of the cultural lecture for a dance.
