A Study on Shooting, Scoring of Ice-Hockey Games by Period and Region

&nbsp;&nbsp;A total of 52 games of the 8th, 9th and 10th Yu Han Chul Cup National High School Ice Hockey Championship Games since April 4, 1988, and the 8th, 9th and 10th Yu Han Chul Cup National Collegiate Ice Hockey Championship Games since October 1988 through June 1990 are analysed and frequency of shooting, success rate and scoring of each high school and college/university by each period and player&quot;s region are recorded. The results were as follows:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;A. Of the total shooting of 87.1 times, high school listed 29.4 times for a period, and of the total shooting of 81.6 times, college players listed 17.4 for 2 periods. For rigional result, Group A of high school listed 26.0 times(41.3%) and Group A of college listed 37.8 times(46.4%).<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;B. Of the total of 29.4 shooting, high school succeeded in average of 3.3 goal-ins (11.1%) for 2 periods while of the total shooting of 27.3 times, college players succeeded in 3.1 goal-ins (11.2%) for a period. The Group A of high school listed the highest of 36.0 times (22.4%), and Group A of college listed the highest of 37.8 times (19.0%). The 2nd highest was gained by Group B of high school, 12-3 times (6.0%) and Group B of college, 8.6 times (6.6%), Group F listed no goal-in.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;C. As for the defense activities of both high school and college players, 86.8% was defended by goal keeper of high school, and 85.2% was defended by goal keeper of college players. PLayer&quot;s defense listed 13.2% of high school and 14.8% of college, respectively which reflected the superiority by defense by goal.
