This study was undertaken to examine the effect of omija on the physical fitness in athlete. The sample group consists of a total 21 male soccer players who are working in Kyung Hee University. The group was divided into two groups with 11 and 10 persons respectively; The experimental group and control one were given a 7g of omija and a 4g of placebo three times per day after the meal for the period of 4 weeks.<BR> The effect of omija was measured in terms of their back strength, arm strength, leg strength, power, agility, flexibility to evaluate the change in physical fitness.<BR> The first measurement was carried out before drug administration and the second one was done after drug administration.<BR> The results are as follows;<BR> 1) As for the record of the back strength, it was incresed from 126.59㎏ before the experiment to 136.14㎏ after 4 weeks in the experimental group and increased from 129.45㎏ before the experiment to 134.00㎏ after 4 weeks in the control group.<BR> 2) As for the record of the arm flexion strength, it was increased from 30.70㎏ before the experiment to and 33.09㎏ after 4 weeks in the experimental group and increased from and 28.10㎏ before the experiment to and 30.67㎏ after 4 weeks in the control group.<BR> 3) As for the record of the arm extension strength, it was significantly increased from 26.00㎏ before the experiment to 31.71㎏ after 4 weeks in the experimental group and significantly increaced from 22.90㎏ before the experiment to 30.88㎏ after 4 weeks in control group.<BR> 4) As for the record of the leg flexion strength, it was increased form 32.40㎏ before the experiment to 33.82㎏ after 4 weeks in experimental group and increased from 28.50㎏ before the experiment to 30.67㎏ after 4 weeks in control group.<BR> 5) As for the record of the leg extension strength, it was significantly increased from 61.20㎏ before the experiment to 69.18㎏ after 4 weeks in experimental group.<BR> As for the record of the leg extension strength, it was reduced from 54.00㎏ before the experiment to 50.67㎏ after 4 weeks in control group. It"s in experimental group was significantly increased after 4 weeks compared to control group.<BR> 6) As for the record of the power, it was significantly increased from 54.00㎝ before the experiment to 58.82㎝ after 4 weeks in experimental group while reduced from 57.60㎝ before the experiment to 55.66㎝ after 4 weeks in control group.<BR> 7) As for the record of the agility, it was significantly increased from 27.50 frequency before the experiment to 29.27 frequency after 4 weeks in experimental group and increased from 25.00 frequency before the experiment to 25.77 frequency after 4 weeks in control group.<BR> Agility in experiment group was significantly increased after 4 weeks compared to control group.<BR> 8) As for the record of the flexibility, it was significantly increased from 17.60㎝ before the experiment to 18.45 after 4 weeks in experimental group and increased from 14.75㎝ before the experiment to 16.22㎝ after 4 weeks in control group.
