A study on the leisure & sports activity and using behavior of neighbourhood facilities for the aged welfare

&nbsp;&nbsp;According to a Reporting of population of United Nations, it is oerdicted that Korea will enter into “Aging Society” after decade, which United Nations had determined in 1957. In case of all Western which had entered into “Aging Society” at early time, they have compositely been preparing for problems of the elderly not only in architecture but also in planning medical field, welfare field and so on.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;But in case of Korea, as a Housing Policy for the elderly, three Generation Sharing Apartment has only been suggested and providing. So it is necessary to provide more various kind of residence for the elderly.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study analyzed the leisure activity and using behavior of neighbourhood facilities for the aged. For this purpose, this study is to compare the preferred characteristics of the leisure and neighbourhood facilities according to housing type and region (urban/rural).<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results are following,<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. The elderlies show differences in daily life by housing type.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. This study reveals differences of social relationship by housing type.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3. In leisure activities, apartment aged prepared to sport, tour, climbing and fishing rater than detached housing.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;4. Apartment have more neighbour facilities than detached housing. But using frequency of facilities is low. Especially, most of the elderlies think that medical facilities is very important.
