The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of heart rates and volumes of oxygen consumption/CO₂ expiration/ventilation at the level of anaerobic and aerobic thresholds. For this purpose college women"s soccer team members who have underwent the endurance training and ordinary college woman students were sampled, and thereupon their heart rates and various volumes set above were compared to produce basic data which can be used for training and exercise prescription.
This study can be calculated as follows;
1. At the level of aerobic threshold, the trained women group showed 53.2±8.1% relative oxygen consumption and 37.6±5.9% relative ventilation volume, while the untrained women group showed 46.5±7.5% and 33.0±5.3%, respectively. Also at this level, all the respiratory gas variables were significantly higher for the trained group than the untrained group.
2. At the level of anaerobic threshold, the trained group showed 66.9±10.3% relative oxygen consumption and 51.2±9.3% relative ventilation volume, while the untrained group showed 59.3±8.7% and 44.8±8.2%, respectively. Also at this level, all the respiratory gas variables were significantly higher for the trained group than the untrained group.
As seen above, the two groups showed significant differences in their aerobic and anaerobic thresholds determined by the volumes of oxygen consumption and ventilation. In this regard, it is conceived that the exercise prescription should be properly dictated based on such aerobic and anaerobic thresholds and in consideration of individuals" physical fitness and training conditions. Also, it is hoped that more precise analysis of these aerobic and anaerobic thresholds would be performed in future studies.
