스키 골절 상해에 관한 조사 연구

An Investigatory Study on Skier"s Injury Reported in 2000-2003 Season

  The purpose of this study was to investigate the general characteristics of ski injury that had happened during the period of 2000-2003 winter season in A ski resort located in Kangwon province. Primary findings from this investigation includes the following. Authors analysed ninety five ski fracture patients in A from Dec. 2000 to Feb. 2003. The frdquency of ski fractures declined from 2000. Location of ski fractures were most commonly in lower (46.3%) especially in tibia (18.9%). in tibia fracture. Ankle fractures (15.8%) femur fractures (7.4%) was the most common type. Most fracture patients were 21-30 years of age(65.5%) Aterage ski fracture fate was 0.6/1000 man-skier boys and this is 18% of total ski injuries. Most ski injuries occured in beginners. Degree of injury was more severe in expert skiers. Within limitations and findings of this study, the researchers concluded that sufficient pre-season preparation in terms of fitness and knowledge of skiing skill is the prerequisite for the ski injury prevention. Along with this, this study suggested the tips for the safe skiing.
