Koguryo was the most powerful and invincible dynasty maintaining more than 700 years among all the dynasties in the Korean history. Ever since its constitution, it had a lot of wars, invading foreign countries and being invaded against foreign enemies. It is believed that because those superb soldiers conducted so many wars against foreign forces, Koguryo defended them and preserved its sovereignty. I conclude Wow according to the historical record about the hunting practice. First, most Koguryo emperors built up the national strength by hunting. 15 Koguryo emperors participated in the hunting by themselves according to Koguryobonki in Samkuksaki. Second, based on the same historical record, Koguryo people went hunting intensively in the earlier Koguryo period. However, they did it every single year nationwide in the later Koguryo period. Third, the emperors went hunting for 5-7 days in average in each time. Forth, the hunting fields were usually loacated at the place 1-2 days distant from the capital city by riding horses. Fifth, they went hunting by horseback riding and used swords, spears, rows and arrows. They were trained hunting skills in Kyoungdang, which I believe is not very different from our morden sports, such as archery, fencing, the martial art of stick fighting, horseback riding and so on.
