A Research of the Sports Classification of High School Students and their Interest in Sports

  For the proper development of high school students" mental and physical cultivation, they need to have more preferable environment in order to achieve normal and stable growth. In addition, for the purpose to obtain accurate foundational materials for this research fulfilling their wants for the sports, it is necessary to inquire into the level of their interest in sports and the classification of sports and then to analyze the distinction between male and female high school students and among the grades of them. The research of the sports classification of high school students and their interest in sports concludes the followings. First, it is shown that male students take part in sports directly, but female students do indirectly. And both of them tend to take sports activities with their friends. It is also shown that male students use regular holidays to play sports, but female students use regular holidays or long vocation. They usually use the playground of their vicinity. For the problem of their sports activities, male students point out the shortage of sports facilities and female students indicate the shortage of time, Furthermore, their family usually recommend their sports activities, but they do not so enthusiasically. Second, the sports, which male studets prefer, excel, and want to learn, are ball games, but those of female students are individual games, in order word playing by themselves, Moreover, the sports, which both of them enjoy watching most, are ball games.
