A Study on the Reception of the Folk Dance to the Korean Creation Dance

&nbsp;&nbsp;When the situations of dancing change, dance itself and the method to search the situations should change at the same time. The phenomena of industrialization, maximization of materialism in accordance with the development of technology, and the global ruralization have influenced on the changes of non-material aspects of the culture.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;And in the dancing art, not only the patterns of dance have been transformed, and in many cases, the intentions of dancing those transformed dances have also been changed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Accordingly, in order to be endowed with more concrete, future-oriented and sensible meanings in the transitional period of the dancing art by the experimental works of developing body languages being carried out in the name of the creation of Korean dance, the development of dance languages which can consider the situation of this time in some more clear viewpoint, is needed very keenly.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In conclusion, understanding our folk dance as the dead dance culture is not a productive attitude. Especially, it is no good attitude in the cultural structure of ours in which the traditional culture has a deep root.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Firstly, folk dance should be re-arranged as one of the textbook in our dance culture in order to objectively search the inner-existing power and to productively utilize them. And then, some parts of them should be extracted and they should be made use of the creating works of KOrean creation dances in the patterns of encyclopaedia.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;What is the basis of the unique life power of folk dance, though is not today&quot;s creation dance?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Although it is absolutely not an easy thing to find, extract and re-arrange those aspects in which way, and then to induce them into today&quot;s our dance culture, it is sure that research and study of them with patience is very much worthwhile.
