Though the auxiliary verb has character of grammatical category, also has lexical meaning. So auxiliary verb has some relation with main verb.
Auxiliary verb ‘-? b?rida’ has a few relation with main verb. Because the prototype meaning of main verb ‘-? b?rida’ is “intentionally exclusion about one"s possession.” Yet, when we seek after the relation on the ground of auxiliary verb ‘-? b?rida’, if our view restrict only "perpect" that it"s a "aspect meaning", it is very difficult to find the relation with main verb.
The auxiliary verb reveals aspect meaning and modality meaning. Even though many view that ‘-? b?rida’(-어 버리다) has the aspect meaning, perfect, in fact, it has modality meaning presenting positive or negative attitude to changes in context. According to these reason I denied the aspect meaning, perfect, in auxiliary verb ‘-? b?rida’. At first, imperpect preceeding ending "-ry?-" can be used inside of ‘-? b?rida’. And then ‘-? b?rida’ also can be used "-myeons?’. Moreover, when "-myeon" that it conduct "if-clause" combined with ‘-? b?rida’, that meaning present "perpect" or "imperpect" in according to context. It means that ‘-? b?rida’ has no meaning of aspect.
‘-? b?rida’ has modality meaning that means “exclusion of burden” or “ regret”. “exclusion” is same included auxiliary verb ‘-? b?rida’ and main verb ‘-? b?rida’. So it is very difficult to concern with aspect meaning, perfect, but if we try to concern with modality meaning, “exclusion of burden”, we can find the relation between auxiliary verb ‘-? b?rida’ and main verb ‘-? b?rida’.
