기존 통합교육과정의 한계와 그 극복으로서 홀리스틱 통합교육과정

A Study on Holistic Curriculum As a Limitation & Altternative of Existing Integrated Curriculum

&nbsp;&nbsp;본 논문은 홀리스틱 시각에서 모더니즘의 한계 극복과 기존 교육의 한계 극복을 위한 홀리스틱 교육의 접근으로서의 통합교육과정에 대해 탐구한다. 우선 기존의 통합이론과 실제를 통해 통합이론의 실제를 파악하고, 어떠한 유형의 통합교육과정이 있었는지와 그 한계를 밝힌 후, 그 한계의 극복으로서의 홀리스틱 교육과정 통합 방향을 논한다. <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;‘홀리스틱 통합교육과정’은 ‘홀리스틱’이라는 용어 자체가 ‘통합교육과정’을 전제하기에 통합교육과정의 논의는 핵심적인 논의이다. &quot;큰그림(big picture)&quot;은 교육과정 설계의 기본인 통합과 맥락의 개념이며, 귀납과 연역의 상호보완적인 나선형적 교육과정이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;홀리스틱 통합교육과정의 단계는 전달(transmission), 교호(transaction), 변용(transformation) 단계에서 통합의 수준을 고려하고 있다. 학문의 통합과는 전달 단계는 다학문적(multidisciplinary) 접근, 교호작용단계는 간학문적(interdisciplinary) 접근, 변용 단계는 탈학문적, 다시 말해, 학문을 초월한(transdisciplinary) 접근을 통해 교실과 그 밖의 세계 사이의 틈을 연결하고, 학습자의 흥미와 질문을 반영하는 상황 구체적인 접근을 통해 생명의 네트워크를 강조한다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics, similarities and differences of holistic education for a new curriculum paradigm and design. Also, this study suggests an integrated curriculum model from a perspective of holistic education.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study indicates that the future curriculum will be a transformation model, characterized as balance, inclusion and connection. The new transformation model concentrates on encountering between the student and the teacher, intrinsic self and the creative talent. In particular, it permits the flexibility of curriculum paradigm.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The post-modern perspective involves the restoration of meaning and the demolition of modern paradigm that separates bricks of truth and values and facts, and curriculum. The fundamental pursuit is the search for meaning. The post-modern education emphasizes the deconstruction of grand narrative of modern education. The post-modern paradigm of curriculum seeks to restore wholeness of human. The phenomenological curriculum approach focuses the wholeness of humanity and emphasizes interconnection of body and mind.
