〈조생원전〉과 〈김씨열행록〉의 상관성

A Correlation between The Life of Cho Saengwon and The Record of a Learned Man, Kim

&nbsp;&nbsp;Chosaengwonjoen and The Record of a Learned Man, Kim have something in common. They are very closely correlated in that the heroine had her husband killed to be cut down his head by his stepmother&quot;s wicked design on their wedding day. Owing to this event the bride was wrongly suspected of an unfaithful woman. Then the dead husband appeared in her dream and revealed the truth. After that she informed her father-in-law of the fact and avenged her dead husband&quot;s enemy. So she cleared herself of her wrong suspicion.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Record of a Learned Man, Kim, however, took rather a somewhat different plot, in which it had deletion, contraction, addition, extension and development of the event. In other words, The Record of a Learned Man, Kim shows not only a lot of factual and practical features but also the role and character of women. Especially the addition of a new event made it entirely another feature in the latter part. Compared with The Life of Cho Saengwon, The Record of a Learned Man, Kim can be said relatively later and adapted work by the writer.
