A Study on Development of Strength-based Case Management Model Using Motivational Interviewing for Problem Drinker in the Community

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness and analyze the possibility of applications by developing of the strength-based Case Management Model using Motivational Interviewing for Problem Drinkers in the Community. The approach to the drink problem in Korea has mostly been hospital-centered treatments so far, but it was evaluated to be ineffective due to the high rates of relapses.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Social Work Practice programs based on the results of this study are as follows. First, community-centered systematic case management should be activated. In other words, formal and informal organizations should be closely related to provide the proper services for clients. Secondly, case manager should have various information about external resources to obtain the networks of social supports.
