Gambling is becoming a serious problem in Asia generally. Specifically, in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore, their citizens have ready access to different kinds of gaming activities (e.g., casinos, poker, football, sports, internet gaming). This short paper will look at the prevalence figures in Asia and world wide and why Asians like to gamble. Also discussed are is when gambling would become problematic. What are the clinical signs and symptoms of problem gamblers and how would it affect the society? How would those problems affect policing in Asian communities in the next 20 years? Can we do something about it?
