For the last decade, the so-called transnational crime has been one of the most serious topics in the field of criminal justice. It constitutes a challenge for most of the countries. Various kinds of transnational crime occurred in the region of Asia, such as trafficking of illegal drugs, human-beings and guns, money laundering, terrorism, smuggling and so on. Nowadays, transnational crime has become increasingly pervasive, diversified and organized.
Transnational crime has its own specific characteristics, comparing with domestic crime. In terms of regional distribution, it is not just related with one country, but related with more than two countries. Therefore, transnational crime should be applied to different laws and criminal justice systems between the different countries. This aspect causes many sophisticated problems.
Thus, the main point is that how can it be possible to make a close cooperation among the Asian countries? What will it become the most effective way to share the developed tactics and legislations? In this paper, I try to figure out the strategic direction of the effective cooperation systems for combating transnational crime among Asian countries.
